MATT BAIN
Pastor
Matt is married to Louise, and they have 2 active boys. He’s had the privilege of being involved with MCC since the early 2000’s. Matt was a social worker in a former life, but is now in the final throes of his Master of Ministry whilst helping lead MCC. Matt does some preaching, assists with the youth group and tries to keep an eye on the big picture stuff. Church wise, he’s interested in how faith intersects with culture (though he knows that sounds pretentious) and seeing new people come to love and follow Jesus. Matt enjoys movies, books and spending time with friends and family. He knows that all these sound cliche, but at least he didn’t mention bushwalking, nature or coffee.
TIM BENDALL
Tim Bendall has been a member of MCC since 2007 and has served on the leadership team for over 8 years. His wife Kate has been a member since she was young and together they have two children. Tim’s passion is in the power of the word of God to speak to people through sermons and teaching. Tim has been one of the Sunday speakers at MCC since 2011 and is also part of the team that leads the youth group (currently known as Radiate) at MCC.
Tim is a programmer who enjoys rainy days, the odd motor race and board games with family and friends.
LOUISE BAIN
Louise is married to Matt and they have 2 boys, a poorly behaved chocolate Labrador and 2 cats. Apart from spending some years establishing a church plant, Louise has been a member of MCC most of her life and has volunteered in a range of areas including youth group, children's ministry, building, finance and the leadership team. Louise was involved in setting up Channel Churches Care, a collaboration with other local churches to help those who were struggling through COVID.
Louise has a particular interest in the area of social justice and is also the Treasurer for Water For A Village, a not for profit organisation building wells in remote areas of Ethiopia. She is an Accountant / Auditor by background but prefers reading, Christmas time, spending time with the family and catching up with friends.
HELEN WILLIAMS
Helen has been an active member of Margate Christian Church for over 20 years and attends with her husband and two children. During that time, Helen has been involved in pastoral care, prayer ministry, women’s ministry, service management and leadership. Helen is very grateful for the family she has found at MCC and believes strongly in the importance of building community and supporting each other through pastoral care and friendship. Helen works as an Accountant for a Christian School organisation and is also Treasurer for the Church. Helen lives in Margate with her family and a menagerie of animals. She enjoys sunshine and relaxing with friends, especially when she can combine the two. She is also very fond of a good book
