Since 2008 Margate Christian Church has been heavily involved in an annual two week mission trip to Fiji by church member David Dieckfoss and students from Calvin Christian School.  The primary purpose of the mission trip is to provide medical and school supplies to needy villages and remote medical centres. Students also run evangelical and educational programs in schools and villages. Each year the program grows with more students involved and more support for urgent medical assistance in Fijian medical centres and nursing outposts.

Fijian Medical Centres and Hospitals are in desperate need of many basic medical supplies.

With more than 150 essential pharmaceuticals out of stock and very few doctors for large populations (4 Doctors per 25,000 in Serua Namosi region), there are real needs that we can quite easily address. The supplies we take in each year make a huge difference. Last year with the help of parents, students, community groups and Surgimed in Hobart, we were able to take in well over $4000 of medical supplies which we distributed to the Navua Hospital and numerous medical outstations in remote villages.

God's Squad was established in the late 1960's in Sydney, Australia and founded on a broader basis, under the leadership of John Smith, in Melbourne 1972, where the club colours have been flown ever since. The club primarily exists to minister among the 'outlaw biker fraternity' and associated groups, where it is an accepted and relevant expression of the Christian church. Since it's birth, out of the counter culture Jesus movement days of the late 60's it has continued, over four decades, to devote it's efforts amongst those on the fringes of society.
