The main activity by which we collectively serve God is our Sunday morning service. We gather from a range of occupations, backgrounds, and relationship networks. Taking time out each week to meet and encourage each other as a large extended family.

We serve God together by singing songs that praise him, by giving money to help support good causes, by hearing people speak on parts of the Bible and other meaningful topics, and by praying to him.

Sunday mornings are also our 'public' meetings and aim to be understandable and engaging to visitors and people who wouldn't call themselves 'religious' or 'Christian'.

Children are an integral part of this and take part in the majority of the service as well as having creche and Sunday School available to them.If you'd like to know what to expect on any given Sunday, please

The MCC building is a beautiful setting for special life events, and we have enjoyed hosting many weddings, infant dedications and other events for those in our local community. If you are interested in using the building or would like to talk to a marriage celebrant or discuss an infant dedication, please

We at MCC  want to support each other holistically and see each other grow into the people God would have us be.

There are many aspects of life that cannot be shared or supported in the larger meeting of a Sunday morning service. Home Groups provide a context for sharing meals, struggles, prayer, celebrations, encouragement, inspiration, and discussions about life and what God says to us through the Bible.

There are a number of home groups associated with MCC, most are made up of 6-12 people who are committed to a level of involvement in each others lives that cannot be catered for through the Sunday morning service.

If you are interested in getting involved with a home group please email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

Some social workers who are members of MCC saw the difficulties that many elderly and vulnerable individuals face. Often these are simple practical matters related to maintaining properties as health or function declines (e.g. mowing lawns, clearing waste, fixing minor property damage etc.). The establishment of the Channel Oddjob Team (COT) was a response to this need. It happens on a Saturday morning 4 - 5 times per year, run by volunteers from MCC, with no cost, no Bible-bashing and no strings attached.

We have recently connected with the Kingborough Council volunteer program and are now taking referrals from them as well. If you or someone you know in Kingborough area could do with this kind of assistance, please

In 2005, one of our church members had a vision of a community festival showcasing Margate and fostering a greater sense of community.

In discussion with local businesses and community leaders the  2 1/2 Days in Margate community festival was launched.

Each year since its inception,  MCC host a 'spiritual journeys' art exhibition during the 2 1/2 Days in Margate festival, showcasing many beautiful pieces of spiritually themed art from wood, textiles, paint, mosaic, glass and many more mediums.

If you'd like to know more about Spiritual Journeys or 2 1/2 Days in Margate, please call Ro on 62671108.
